They saw it from behind running upright but hunched, described as bear-sized and gorilla-like, then left after hearing crunching behind them.

The witness and two daughters were driving a pickup on a forest two-track in the evening to gather rocks for a fire pit. A tall black-haired biped ran across the trail in front of the vehicle in a forward-leaning run with arms hanging low, followed about 15 feet behind by a large gray wolf. Both continued up the hill on the far side and disappeared, and a next-day search found no tracks because of overnight heavy rain.

The witness was driving south to check traps when he noticed a dark form in the road ahead and approached for a closer look. The form rose onto two legs, looked toward the vehicle, then took two strides west into the swamp and vanished without leaving sign or sound. Using a roadside curve sign for scale, the witness estimated its height at eight and a half to nine feet and described it as very black with long arms. He was shaken and no longer enters the woods unarmed.

After other family members left the cabin for the evening, a father and his adult son stayed to clean the cabin exterior when stones began landing around them. They retreated inside as stones continued to strike the cabin on multiple sides. The father then saw a large dark figure run bipedally across the driveway, and impacts on the cabin walls continued late into the night.

Two occupants of a car driving on a curvy wooded road around midnight encountered a furry figure crouched in the roadway. After illuminating it with high beams from close range, they watched it stand on two legs and run quickly up a hill. They described it as huge, dark, about seven feet tall with long arms, moving like an ape, and said it could not have been a bear.

The two looked at each other briefly, the witness does not recall how it departed, and a foul smell followed back toward the truck. The next morning the witness recovered the hounds still treed with a bobcat.

The witness saw a massive dark-haired bipedal figure emerge from woods on one side and cross the highway to woods on the other side, moving slowly. Occupants of nearby stopped cars also appeared shocked.

The witness and his sister were waiting at a rarely used roadside bus stop before sunrise when they smelled a foul odor and heard low grunting that grew louder and more aggressive. A large dark-brown figure then knocked over a small dead tree across the road and ran toward them. Both fled a short distance to their house, with the figure closing to within a few feet before continuing into the woods.

The figure stopped after noticing them, then turned and walked silently back into the woods despite dry leaves on the ground. When they reached the spot, it was gone with no sign or sound.
Large, unusual footprints observed in deep snow near Bass Lake
After heavy overnight snow, the witness became stuck while driving down a two-track road toward home and continued on foot. While walking, the witness noticed a line of very large footprints in the snow extending about 100-150 feet before veering into a swamp. The prints were described as much larger than human tracks with a long stride and undisturbed snow around them. No maker of the tracks was seen.

The witness was driving at night on a road through a swamp area when headlights revealed a large hairy biped standing in the road. As the witness braked and approached, the figure appeared on the roadside about 10 feet from its original position without being seen to move, then vanished toward the swamp. The witness stopped within about 20 feet and described the figure as about 7-8 feet tall with dark hair tipped with silver-grey and a deep chest.

The witness and a companion got lost while walking on trails near a cabin and headed for the main road to get their bearings. On the road they saw a huge black hair-covered figure about forty to fifty feet away that at first looked like a man. After exchanging looks, the figure sprinted away on two feet across the road into the woods, moving much faster than a human.
