A dark hairy figure reportedly ran upright from behind a tree very fast, making a high-pitched noise with loud thumping footsteps. After it disappeared, the witness ran to tell the older relative, who did not believe the account.

After helping at another house, the witness and a companion drove home through wooded roads late at night. Their headlights caught a very large, tall, dark-brown figure running across the road about 40 to 50 feet away. The witness stopped after noticing large footprints on the side of a road and found over 20 tracks that entered the woods, crossed the road, and continued into the woods. The witness left to get a camera and returned to take five Polaroid photos of the tracks.

The witness, a truck driver hauling oil at night, had just locked a lease gate when trailer work lights revealed a tall hair-covered figure stepping from brush. The figure paused to look at the witness, then silently crossed the road into the woods about 30 feet away. The two watched each other from behind trees for about three minutes, after which the figure left toward the woods following a loud snap the witness later attributed to an armadillo. He found no tracks on the hard ground.

As the truck passed the spot, a loud scream was heard over the engine noise with the windows closed, and the witness continued driving without stopping.

A hunter and his son paused on a ridge while elk hunting in the morning after hearing a noise and a snap. The father saw a brown, long-haired biped from the shoulders down standing in old cuttings, which grabbed a tree and swung behind it to keep the tree between them. The son reported hearing a high-pitched scream and grunting that the father could not hear. They searched the spot but found no sign, noting an unusual absence of deer and elk sign.
