Road trip pit stop in the woods

The witness pulled to the side of a road near woods and a river around 9 p.m. to relieve himself. The accompanying dog began growling and barking, and the witness saw a very large figure cross the road in about two steps and disappear into the woods about 30 yards away. When the witness walked toward the spot with the dog and a flashlight, the dog refused to advance, a strong musky smell was noticed, and cracking sounds in the vegetation moved toward them, prompting the witness to return to the car and drive away.

Woman kayaking with family at Sullivan lake sees bigfoot

The witness was kayaking on Sullivan Lake with family when she passed a rope swing on a steep bank. She saw a very tall, silver-furred, human-like figure sitting still on a stump watching her from about 15 yards. After she looked ahead and back, the figure was gone with only bushes moving. Later that evening her niece, who had been ahead, asked if she had seen the figure by the rope swing.

A driver and a companion were driving north on Highway 109 near Moclips in evening light when a stocky, dark brownish animal crossed the road in front of the truck. The animal then ran on all fours in the roadside ditch, keeping pace with the truck at about 35 mph for about 10-15 seconds before disappearing. Both occupants watched it but could not identify it, noting longer front legs, uniform hair, and no snout or tail.

Two witnesses driving back from fishing in a national forest rounded a corner and saw a tall black upright figure crossing the road in front of them. It walked quickly uphill and disappeared within a few seconds. They stopped at the spot and found a large footprint, which they later videotaped and cast, and investigators later found additional impressions uphill.

He described reddish-brown hair, muscular thighs, no visible neck, arms held forward bent at the elbows, and head facing down, and said his wife did not see it.

The group watched it for a few seconds as it moved upslope before losing sight of it.

The witness was staying at a cottage on a northern lake with family when loud organized whoops, grunts and knocking were heard at night from across the water. The next sunny morning while watching family in a canoe through binoculars the witness saw a large black-brown hairy creature sitting on a boulder across the lake. The creature slapped the rock with both hands, then stood upright and walked into the bush. A fallen tree previously seen across the lake had been moved to the beach, and similar loud vocalizations were heard on later nights.

The witness was driving home at night with a relative when headlights revealed eyes ahead on the road. On approaching slowly, the witness described an upright, bear-like figure with dark hair, long limbs, and height comparable to a very tall relative. The witness returned the next morning and found no footprints, attributing this to dry, hard ground.

Going down to the bank to look, the witness saw a large hairy ape-like figure standing in the river. The figure turned and ran through the water toward the witness while making a gurgling sound. The witness fled up the bank, fell while running, and later avoided the bridge at night.

The witness and a companion were sitting on their deck in a rural wooded area after midnight when they heard a very loud, deep howling lasting two to three minutes. They later played an online recording of reported howling that they felt sounded exactly the same. About fifteen minutes after the sound, they went outside and noticed a very foul odor described as skunk mixed with urine.

The witness described instinctual fear and accelerated away while the creature continued across to the trees without running. Both occupants expressed disbelief, and minutes later they passed firefighters who looked shocked.

The witness and companion had parked by a lake while driving to find a fishing spot. From across the lake they watched two hairy figures walking upright toward thick brush. The witness briefly returned to the car for optics, but both figures had entered the brush by the time of return. No tracks or other signs were later recovered.

Both occupants reported seeing it and they left quickly because they were frightened. The witness also thought a grunting sound was heard but was unsure whether it came from the vehicle.

He saw a tall, hairy biped about 50 yards away at the forest edge staring at him for several seconds, tilting its head before turning and running fast into the pines out of sight. He then continued down the trail anxiously without photographing it.
