Man observes a large, hair-covered biped outside his garage south of Nashville
Late on a Wednesday night the witness was watching TV above the garage when he heard something strike a garage door. After a few seconds he looked out the window and saw a tall hair-covered figure below the window retreating toward the woods. The figure disappeared within about two seconds. A family member later checked outside but found no tracks or other physical evidence.
BFRO Investigator obtains first thermal footage (very brief) outside Phillips
The witness camped alone for several nights using a thermal imager. On the fourth night an object was thrown near the tent, then a heat signature was seen peeking over brush along a trail. The figure stood and ran away bipedally while brush thrashed on both sides, and the witness left the thermal recording overnight.
Morning sighting by a woodcutter NW of Conconully
The witness was driving on a mountain road toward a firewood cutting spot when the dog alerted to the left. The witness stopped and saw a tall dark figure look at him while walking behind a large slash pile about 75 yards away near the tree line. The figure did not reappear from the other side, and when the witness drove forward it was gone, apparently having gone into the woods. The witness did not get out to look for tracks.

Late at night the witness was driving home on a forested road and saw two tall dark bipedal figures running ahead in the headlights. The pair ran down the roadway for six to eight seconds, one near the centerline and one on the shoulder, before both veered off into the treeline. The witness did not stop and continued home.
Hiker has a possible daytime sighting near Crater Lake
The witness was hiking a mountain trail with three children who had run ahead. He noticed a large upright hairy figure moving behind the treeline about 50 to 100 yards away, watching it for less than a minute as it moved through brush and woods. He did not alert the children at the time and did not photograph it. About a year later after seeing a television program about similar sightings in the area, he decided to share the experience.

In June 2008 around 9:30 p.m., the witness was walking with a child along a road toward a farm when a strange high-pitched howl and musty odor were noticed. A tall, hairy human-like figure emerged from a cornfield and followed at a distance as they hurried toward a waiting vehicle. When vehicle headlights were turned on, the figure paused, vocalized again, and retreated quickly into the corn. The waiting adult also heard the vocalization.

An investigator hiked with two companions to the top of a rocky ridge at night to look into recurring activity. While the companions scanned with night vision and a camcorder, the investigator illuminated a sasquatch-like figure standing close below the rocks with a headlamp and watched it withdraw and walk away. The companions recorded eyeshine in the opposite direction, suggesting a second animal, and the group heard footsteps following them as they descended. They later reviewed the tape and confirmed eyeshine had been recorded.
Dusk and nighttime sightings by couple at rock quarry near Greenwater
A couple drove into an old rock quarry at dusk and saw a large gray human-shaped figure standing in front of their car. They watched it quickly climb a steep gravel slope on all fours, stand bipedally at the top, and walk into the woods. Later that night a sheriff's spotlight illuminated the same figure at the woods edge before it left, and the couple packed up and departed.
Motorists have sighting at night near Otterville
The witness was driving at night with a relative as passenger when an entity ran from a field onto the road in front of the car. The witness described seeing it at very close range in the headlights as it crossed and then ran up a steep embankment without slowing. Both occupants reportedly agreed it did not appear human.

In fall 2008 the witness was driving a pickup slowly along a dirt road beside a creek toward a one-lane low-water bridge in the evening. Beside the bridge he saw a large shaggy figure he first took for a bear, which stood upright as he approached and watched him pass within a few feet. He described it as about eight feet tall with long arms, no visible neck, and a hairless human-like face. The figure then stepped into deep water, crossed the creek, and climbed the far bank holding trees, and was gone when the witness returned after dark.

The witness was traveling by vehicle with a parent toward Taylorville in late morning. The parent reacted to something ahead, and the witness then saw a very tall upright animal cross the road, step over a guard rail, and disappear under a bridge. A dog in the vehicle reacted to a smell at the time. Neither occupant saw the animal's face.

The driver was traveling north with a companion when a tall, dark-haired bipedal figure was seen on the grass near the tree line. The figure walked parallel to the woods and then turned into the trees, disappearing after several seconds. The driver slowed and both occupants stared into the woods, with the companion thinking dark movement was visible among the trees.

The witness was turkey hunting in heavy hilly forest at daybreak when branches breaking drew attention. The witness watched a large hairy figure with long arms and a hunched back travel down a draw until it disappeared into the woods. The figure was estimated at 7 to 8 feet tall, very muscular, seen from about 100 yards in low light.

The witness was riding as a passenger in a westbound vehicle on the highway when he saw a tall, single-colored figure crossing the road ahead on an incline. The figure reportedly walked upright in long strides across the lanes and into the forest. When the vehicle reached the crossing point, there were no houses or any sign of the figure in the woods.

The witness was walking on a dirt road in the evening when a gray-brown figure was seen standing between bushes at a distance. After the witness spoke, the figure made a loud grunt, then turned toward a second grunt heard deeper in the forest and walked away. The witness ran back to a relative, and a next-day visit found a broken branch and flattened vegetation but no footprints.
Property owner describes activity near South Portsmouth
The witness reports repeated encounters over three to four months near the family home involving a large bipedal animal that is not a bear and has a very strong bad odor. Dogs are frightened by it and horses become agitated when it is close, and some livestock have been lost. The witness's children also saw it while walking to catch the school bus, and a follow-up account describes a brief thirty-foot sighting of a seven to eight foot tall grayish-black haired animal.

After heavy overnight snow, the witness became stuck while driving down a two-track road toward home and continued on foot. While walking, the witness noticed a line of very large footprints in the snow extending about 100-150 feet before veering into a swamp. The prints were described as much larger than human tracks with a long stride and undisturbed snow around them. No maker of the tracks was seen.
Child on ATV sees creature on all-fours near Ardmore
A grandchild riding a four-wheeler reported encountering a large, long-haired, monkey-like animal on all fours that caused great fright and a call for a parent. The parent rushed over after hearing a scream and saw a tree limb still moving as if just released. The sighting occurred in the evening in a wooded creek area where a noisy group had been riding. The grandchild later said the animal resembled a movie character but with a head bump and was not standing upright.
Friends lost on backroads west of Olympia are stunned by a creature with large green eyes
The occupants of a pickup became lost on logging roads late at night and stopped after the reporter noticed huge glowing eyes ahead. The reporter stared at the eyes and then made out a large black bulky form with massive forearms that stayed motionless in the headlights. The form then moved rapidly up a brushy hillside as the group drove away frightened.

The witness and a companion stopped while hiking and watched a reddish primate-like figure peeking from behind trees and brush about 100 feet away. The figure watched them for several minutes, moved away, then reappeared to peek briefly several more times over about 15 minutes. During the encounter they also heard movement in ravines on either side.
