The witness became separated from relatives while out in forest near a lake in spring. The witness stopped at a trail entrance and watched a tall dark manlike creature scrape bark with its palms and pound a tree trunk with a fist. The creature paused and turned to look at the witness. The frightened witness cried and left the area after viewing lasting a couple minutes.
Truck driver has daylight sighting on country road near Marys Home
The main witness was driving a feed truck north on Highway 17 when he rounded a curve and saw a tall dark figure standing in the roadway ahead. The figure was looking away from the road, and after the driver briefly looked away it had disappeared. The driver's relative later met him at the location and found matted grass near a fence and agitated cattle but no clear footprints.

Two motorists driving westbound on the freeway at night reported a very tall, thin, hair-covered biped crossing in front of their car toward the river. They narrowly missed striking it and lost sight of it at the guardrail. They then called a relative by cell phone to report what had happened.

A man was duck hunting with his young son in a public hunting area near Pella when they paused to watch a crane. He then saw a tall, solid-white figure on two legs run across the trail about 40 yards away, moving very fast and quietly. He searched for tracks but found none because of leaf cover, then left feeling unnerved.

The main witness was driving alone on a small two-lane road in the late afternoon to run an errand. A tall, hairy creature with long arms crossed the road in front of his vehicle without stopping and entered the woods. He described it as having different shades of hair, an ape-shaped face, and a large but almost limping stride. He did not stop because the road was on a steep downgrade with a sharp curve and no shoulder.

Early one Saturday morning in mid-June 1997, the witness was driving to work when she noticed a reddish-brown figure stooped in the road near an overpass. As she approached, the figure stood upright on two feet, looked at her for a few seconds, then stepped over a guardrail into a wooded area and disappeared.

The creature, described as over six feet tall, grey and black, and moving quickly on two legs without dropping to all fours, appeared to be coming around toward them. Alarmed by its speed, the group left the shoreline and returned to camp.

Shortly before dawn on a foggy morning, the witness was driving toward a fishing area when headlights illuminated a large fur-covered creature in the road. The creature moved across the highway and leapt up a steep roadside embankment estimated at 14 feet high. The woman looked back and saw a tall, black, hair-covered and muscular creature walking quickly across the clearing toward the forest. Her companion slowed the car but did not see it before it disappeared into the forest.
