A witness doing dishes at night looked up to see a hairy-headed creature with burning red eyes staring through a nearby window for about three minutes. Frozen with fear, the witness screamed, and the creature fled into the darkness outside the rural home.

A farm wife driving past an abandoned farmyard just before dark reported seeing a hair-covered creature with a monkey-like face. She left the area quickly without lingering. The report was part of a series of accounts of a bear-like animal in a turkey-farming community that also included turkey losses and large tracks.
