The witness was riding in an SUV with companions that stopped to observe elk. While looking toward a gulch, the witness reported a dark upright figure walking down a ridge with its arms moving. Companions did not verify the figure because they were watching elk. The figure went into the woods and the witness lost sight of it.

In the early evening, a mother and her teenage son pursued a figure that had startled livestock behind their rural home. They observed it at close range across a creek for several minutes in bright sunlight, noting its height, hair, facial features and build. After the mother urged retreat, the creature vocalized and gestured before the family returned to the house and later reported the incident.

Two boys walking home late at night were followed by a large dark figure that kept pace with them without running. They fled to a neighboring house, where the resident let them in and all three watched the figure stand in the front yard about 12 feet from the porch before it crossed the road and descended an embankment toward the river plain. At dawn a neighbor was called and later found large footprints that were traced downriver until they entered the water.
