The witness stopped at a stone quarry in the late afternoon to look for deer and saw a dark, uniformly colored biped moving very quickly through tall grass on uneven terrain. The figure held its arms at its sides and appeared to float rather than run, crossed a path beside a corn field, then entered standing corn and disappeared. The observation lasted about 15 seconds at an estimated distance of 225 yards.

The witness was moose hunting from a tree stand at night when a bull moose he had called approached. A large upright creature crossed the clearing quickly, causing the moose to flee, then circled to within about 50 yards of the stand. On a clear sunny afternoon in August 2002, the witness was commuting to work when a reddish-brown creature with long arms emerged from the woods. The creature crossed the road in about three steps, glanced toward the witness, and continued up the opposite bank. The witness was camping with companions at a provincial park near Port Alberni. While staying alone at the campsite to tend the fire and collecting wood, he noticed something in the bushes that he first took for a bear and then for a person. After making eye contact, the creature stood upright and walked away on two legs, moving very quietly. The witness returned to the campsite and did not tell his companions what he had seen at the time.

The accompanying dog began growling and barking, and the witness saw a very large figure cross the road in about two steps and disappear into the woods about 30 yards away. When the witness walked toward the spot with the dog and a flashlight, the dog refused to advance, a strong musky smell was noticed, and cracking sounds in the vegetation moved toward them, prompting the witness to return to the car and drive away.

She saw a very tall, silver-furred, human-like figure sitting still on a stump watching her from about 15 yards. After she looked ahead and back, the figure was gone with only bushes moving. Later that evening her niece, who had been ahead, asked if she had seen the figure by the rope swing.
