Ten people renting a cabin heard branch-breaking noises, bangs, sounds like throwing, and strange howls after midnight, along with a foul outdoor odor. Four of the group then saw a large black bipedal figure in a field in front of the cabin that turned and went back into the woods. The group then heard more walking, howls and breaking branches around the cabin and later found a footprint.

As they retreated quickly to the car, something moved fast over their heads through the branches, frightening them enough to leave the area.

A man driving to fish with his son stopped on a road near a lake after seeing what he thought was a bear. The animal stood upright, revealing a very tall, broad, dark-brown hairy human-like form, and the driver got out and shouted at it. The creature vocalized loudly, threw part of a snake toward them, then ran rapidly into the woods.

Around 3:30 a.m. the witness stepped onto the back patio and saw a tall muscular figure walking through a neighbor's yard toward nearby trees. The figure struck the neighbor's above-ground pool with its hand as it passed. The witness went upstairs to watch from a window, after which something was thrown at the house and the witness stopped watching.

After their boat motor failed, two companions camped overnight by a campfire on the riverbank. Around midnight they heard something approaching through the woods, followed by loud growling, grunting, stomping and tree knocks. One of them shone a light across the narrow river and saw a head, shoulder and red eyes looking back before it retreated, continuing noise for over an hour. They left at first light and were later towed back to the landing.

The witness was riding an ATV uphill with a young relative when a loud thumping sound prompted a look behind. The witness saw a very tall, hairy, human-like creature chasing them while carrying a small log. The witness accelerated into and across a grass field, and as they were leaving the field the creature threw the log toward them but missed. The log was gone when the witness returned the next day.

The witness became stranded alone when a car sank in soft sand on a remote forest road. While digging out the tires, the witness was struck by a thrown rock, then heard movement, footsteps and loud hissing vocalizations from the surrounding brush. A large wet adult creature and a smaller juvenile were then seen at close range crossing the road, throwing material at the car, before disappearing into the forest.

At dusk in 2012 the witness was sitting alone in a tree stand during archery season. He heard a loud scream from a nearby swamp, then heard heavy footsteps circling behind him where he could not see. The witness was bow-hunting elk and reported hearing knocks timed to his steps near a clearing in the afternoon. He then watched through binoculars as a large hair-covered figure struck a log against a dead tree. As he left, knocks continued and he heard a log thrown nearby, later noticing a rancid black puddle on the trail.

Late at night the witness heard a very large bipedal animal moving through snowy woods to the woodline, breaking branches and small trees, but could see nothing despite moonlight. After listening with his wife from an upstairs window, he searched in the morning and reported large humanlike tracks, a crushed fence, and a dismembered deer with legs stacked by a sitting impression. While photographing the scene, he says a thrown stick struck his head, prompting him to run to the house.

The witness camped alone for several nights using a thermal imager. On the fourth night an object was thrown near the tent, then a heat signature was seen peeking over brush along a trail. The figure stood and ran away bipedally while brush thrashed on both sides, and the witness left the thermal recording overnight.

An investigator hiked with two companions to the top of a rocky ridge at night to look into recurring activity. While the companions scanned with night vision and a camcorder, the investigator illuminated a sasquatch-like figure standing close below the rocks with a headlamp and watched it withdraw and walk away. The companions recorded eyeshine in the opposite direction, suggesting a second animal, and the group heard footsteps following them as they descended. They later reviewed the tape and confirmed eyeshine had been recorded.

A deer hunter in scent-masking clothes and a ghillie suit was set up on a rock overlooking a saddle at daybreak. A large dark ape-like animal threw a stick that landed behind him, then charged after he shouted and pointed his muzzleloader. He fired in front of it to deter it; it stopped, stood, grunted, and a smaller one emerged crying before both left. He abandoned his gear and found it ransacked the next day.
