Motorist has early morning sighting outside Anitgo
The witness was driving on highway 47 in the morning when cresting a hill she saw a dark brown, wide-bodied human-like figure standing on the road shoulder. The figure was seen in profile and jumped off into the ditch and into the woods. A relative visited the described site about 45 minutes later and reported a landing mark in a snow bank, tracks along a deer trail, and a deer carcass missing its front legs.

A hunter encountered a large fur-covered creature crouched on all fours examining tracks in light snow at the edge of a cedar swamp. The creature stood and looked at her from about 20 yards away, frightening her, and she fled to her stand and called a family member. The family member arrived later and found tracks, broken branches and a bad smell, with a feeling of being watched.

The witness claims that while hiking alone in cedar swampland, a hair-covered creature followed and watched him for over an hour, moving only when he moved and mimicking his crouching actions. The witness says he observed it in partial views from shadows, including its eyes and part of its face from about 30 yards behind an uprooted tree. The creature eventually disappeared near a clear-cut area after the witness waited an hour without it reappearing.

A press report said three large footprint-like impressions were found on a Monday in the wooded Blue Hills area near Rice Lake. An investigator described the impressions as about 16 to 17.5 inches long and 8 inches wide, with one showing five toes and a stride of about 4.5 feet, suggesting a Bigfoot. He said he would do more preliminary searching before deciding on a full-scale expedition.

The witness and his father were walking to their deer stands before sunrise when they heard something moving parallel to them and smelled a musky odor. Something ahead screamed and howled, and a flashlight revealed eye reflections several feet off the ground. They retreated to the stream and at daylight saw dark fur moving through deadfalls in the distance.

A group of six people observed a large, brown, long-haired, foul-smelling animal for about 15 seconds in the morning. The animal walked quickly away without running and disappeared into a swampy wooded area when they tried to follow. The witness found footprints, made a cast of one and gave it to the state natural resources agency without receiving a response, and noted another print in stream clay. No vocalizations were heard and the encounter was described as not life-threatening.
