Daylight sighting by motorist on Crane Mountain outside Kalispell
The witness was driving up Crane Mountain in daylight when a black hair-covered biped was seen moving up a steep embankment beside the road. The creature took large fluid strides uphill, paused to look back at the witness, then continued out of sight as its hair showed a copper-colored sheen in sunlight. The witness then left the area.

The witness had left a truck stuck and flooded in overflow water near a lake in late June 2012. When he returned the next morning with friends to tow it out, they found a large, very fresh footprint about 30 feet from the truck. They photographed the print with a hat for scale and speculated it had come down a ravine to look at the truck before stepping over a snowbank into the woods.
Boys observe hairy man-like creature several times
Two days after a distant sighting, the witness and companions were walking back toward the cabin across a field on a sunny day. About 50 yards away they saw a creature sitting on an old tree stump just inside the woods watching them. The witness said it turned by moving its whole upper torso as if it had no neck, then looked back before the group fled.
Horse-riding witnesses see hairy bipedal animal cross trail on Blackfeet Reservation
The witness and cousins were riding horses home through a brushy trail in the evening when their horses became agitated. A very tall, very hairy bipedal figure ran beside them, crossed the trail about 40 feet ahead, paused at the brush edge to stare, then disappeared into trees. The group returned the next day and found high broken branches and footprints.
