The following mornings the group reported handprints on vehicles, footprints, nests, and broken-tree crosses and teepee structures around both camps.

He climbed down, found a large five-toed human-like track where it had slid, heard whoops from two directions, and left the area.

About five minutes later a very loud pounding was heard from dense woods downhill no more than about 50 feet away, prompting them to move away. After hearing brush movement and heavy footsteps, the witness saw a tall, muscular, dark-haired biped step onto the trail, look toward the companion's direction and then at the witness, sniff and grunt, then walk silently across a meadow into thick brush. After the companion returned they found only indistinct marks and disturbed vegetation, then heard a single loud crack like wood being struck and fled the area.

Two companions sitting on a pipeline corridor heard alternating bird-like calls and wood-knock sounds for about 20 minutes that grew louder and seemed to come from very close by. When they stood to look, they saw a tall grey-haired animal about 20-30 yards away staring at them. Both the witnesses and the animal immediately fled, with the animal crashing in a straight line uphill through the woods.
