Four of the group then saw a large black bipedal figure in a field in front of the cabin that turned and went back into the woods. The group then heard more walking, howls and breaking branches around the cabin and later found a footprint.

At the woods edge near the apartments it stopped and stared at them before they ran toward town and abandoned their gear for two days.
