A press report said three large footprint-like impressions were found on a Monday in the wooded Blue Hills area near Rice Lake. An investigator described the impressions as about 16 to 17.5 inches long and 8 inches wide, with one showing five toes and a stride of about 4.5 feet, suggesting a Bigfoot. On August 1, 1990, a woman at a mobile home near Eldon, Oklahoma reported hearing noises and smelling a bad odor before seeing a very tall, heavy creature. Large tracks found investigated by Federal authorities
A contractor doing roadwork found about half a dozen large footlike prints near a bulldozer in a remote part of the Ocala National Forest. Law enforcement and forestry personnel made casts of the prints, described as 17 inches long with an arch, five toes and a four-foot stride. Most investigators viewed the prints as a possible hoax but ordered casts because of lingering doubt.

Late on Thanksgiving night in 1977, the witness was returning home from jogging when he heard a noise in nearby bushes and ran uphill toward his house. He then turned and watched a large figure running along the road before it went over a barbed-wire fence with little effort and disappeared into a field. A hitchhiker reported encountering a Bigfoot-like creature in a lightly wooded area south of Belleview in darkness. The creature was described as taller than the six-foot witness, brown and black in color, with a horrible garbage-like odor. The account comes from a 1977 newspaper article which notes the sighting was not substantiated.
