They scanned with a powerful spotlight and saw a hairy upright figure partly hidden behind a tree about 20-30 yards away, with yellow eye glow. It stayed motionless for 30 to 60 seconds and was gone after the light was briefly turned away.

A teacher was awakened around 1-2 a.m. by barking dogs at a school campus and looked outside from her doorway.
