Two witnesses driving across railroad tracks in the afternoon saw a very tall, dark, lanky being emerge from trees to cross the tracks. It paused on the tracks and stared toward them before continuing toward trees on the other side. When they turned around to look again, it was gone.

Two witnesses walking a logging road heard loud approaching sounds and then saw a tall dark upright figure watching them from behind a tree. The figure leaned out curiously and later followed them to within close range before they ran back to a relative working a nearby field. Two men had finished dredging for gold and were talking when they noticed a large dark creature about 100 feet away partly behind a dead tree and tailings pile. The creature reached up and snapped off a tree limb, looked at them for 10 to 20 seconds while a strong smell was present, then turned and walked into the woods. They stayed in the area for two more weeks with no further sightings but reported smelling it several times.

The witness then noticed a tall hair-covered figure standing on the roadside berm and drove slowly past it at close range before speeding home. The witness showed dirt still on the hood to a relative that evening and found scooped-out chunks missing from the berm the next day.
