The witness was riding in a car on LaPush Road in mid-morning when a tall creature crossed the road in front of traffic. The witness illuminated a large dark figure leaning from behind a tree about 30 feet away. A large rock was then thrown from the woods over the fire between the two people, the witness fired two shots into the air, and the figure was heard moving, breaking a tree, splashing across the creek, and ascending the opposite hillside. The pair left most gear behind, drove home, and returned the next morning to recover equipment and examine the broken tree.

The witness was guiding a fishing charter by boat in a remote refuge in the morning when a reddish-brown hairy biped was seen searching a sand bank. The creature approached to close range, stood erect and faced the boat for several seconds, vocalized, then left quietly into mangroves. The sighting lasted about two minutes and was watched by the guide and two clients.

After hearing coyotes, he got back in the truck and then saw a tall hair-covered human-like figure emerge from the woods beside the truck. The figure reportedly shielded its eyes from the headlights, made eye contact and snarled to show large teeth, then left into a thicket after about a minute. The witness also reported a musk-like odor and missing fingers on one of the figure's hands.

The witness was driving home from fishing with two companions around 12:50 a.m. when they spotted a large hair-covered figure with its head in a roadside trash can. They pulled close and watched it run on all fours then stand and walk on two legs in their headlights before it escaped behind a building toward a creek. A footprint was left behind and later photographed.
