Daylight sighting between Broken Bow and Little River
The witness and a companion went into woods behind a relative's house to investigate dead fish found earlier by a pond. While the companion stepped away, the witness heard a noise and saw a furry figure peeking from behind a tree 50 to 75 yards away. The figure stepped sideways into full view, and the witness fled running back to the house. The companion did not see the creature.

The witness was fishing downstream from family members when he briefly saw the lower legs of a dark figure stepping from the creek onto the bank and into dense brush. He searched the spot and found wet marks on rocks, disturbed soil, and dung, which companions helped videotape. He concluded the figure was unlikely to be human given the remote, rugged terrain.

In fall 1974 the witness and a relative stopped while driving back roads looking for deer and watched through a rifle scope from about a quarter-mile away. They described a large black creature pulling leaves from a branch over the road while two much smaller creatures played in puddles nearby. After watching several minutes they left over safety concerns, returning a week later to find the branch was over 11 feet high.
