Two companions parked at night to shoot bottle rockets when the driver noticed movement across the road. A very large upright figure stepped onto the road and approached them, becoming visible in the truck's cargo light and moonlight. Frightened by its size and continued approach, they scrambled into the truck, reversed toward it, and fled at high speed.

The witness and two daughters were driving a pickup on a forest two-track in the evening to gather rocks for a fire pit. A tall black-haired biped ran across the trail in front of the vehicle in a forward-leaning run with arms hanging low, followed about 15 feet behind by a large gray wolf. Both continued up the hill on the far side and disappeared, and a next-day search found no tracks because of overnight heavy rain.

Early one morning in 2017 the witness was driving with a companion toward a boat ramp for a fishing trip. While navigating an S-curve, the witness saw a tall hairy figure cross the road from left to right about 75 yards ahead, moving from shadow into a sunlit patch. The figure disappeared behind a blind spot before the vehicle reached the crossing point, and the companion did not see it. After stopping at the location, the witness found no tracks, trail, or odor.

As he drove closer the figure walked upright off the road into brush beside a stump, where he took a cell phone photo. He estimated the figure at about seven to eight feet tall, very dark with several-inch-long hair, and said it did not resemble local wildlife he knows well.

Three men in a truck had just passed through a ranch gate in daylight when a tall, dark-haired creature emerged from a pine thicket and ran across the road in front of them in about three strides. It continued over a fence into trees on the other side in a matter of seconds without making sound. The witness and his father were driving back toward their campsite in the national forest in the morning when they saw a large upright figure on and crossing the dirt road. The figure briefly stopped, looked toward them, then stepped off the road and walked downhill into the woods, at one point completely blocking a roadside sign from view. They drove to the spot where it left the road and found the brush undisturbed and no tracks.
