The witness was hunting alone at dusk when a rock was thrown from the tree line. He scanned the trees with a gun-mounted light and saw a tall upright creature behind a large oak that growled and screamed, prompting him to fire at the tree. The creature fled bipedally across a meadow toward a valley. Afterwards the witness found hair and blood on the tree where the creature had stood.

The witness was riding an ATV down a washed-out road on a family farm when he briefly saw a tall, massive furred animal about 150-200 yards away that reflected sunlight and then retreated into thickets. After approaching the spot, he heard loud running with breaking limbs, then two loud bangs like wood knocks, followed by prolonged deer snorting and stomping before he left. He returned the next day to photograph suspected footprints and hair found on a limb.

While hunting in dense pines the witness repeatedly heard loud expulsions of air and branches breaking moving around him. After returning to the area with his father, deer were spooked by the same sound. The witness then saw a large black-haired figure sitting under a pine about 30 yards away and stared at it before it stood and bounded away making the same noise.

Six companions walking in riverside woods around 12:30 a.m. saw a large furry creature crouched behind a bush between two trees, holding a tree and peering at them. When they turned on a camera light they saw red eyeshine and fled in fear. The video did not capture the creature, and later daytime return visits found bones, fur, and a dead deer nearby.

On July 16, 1997, a tour guide driving tourists along a road stopped near a burned-out bridge and watched an upright, hair-covered creature for about 15 minutes from 70 to 80 yards away. The guide moved the bus forward and backward to give passengers views and tried to get a passenger with a telephoto lens to exit for photos, but no one would leave. The guide then drove away and could not relocate the creature on a later return.

The witness was deer hunting with companions and stopped to rest on a hill. A black entity about the witness's height ran very fast down the hill about 50 yards away and disappeared in about five seconds, with breaking deadfall heard as it left. The witness was startled, thought it might have been watching, and later wondered if it was a large bear or loose livestock.

In the evening the witness and two family members were at home when a strong foul odor entered through open windows. A relative then saw a large hairy unclothed figure watching the house, chased it toward the chicken area where it carried a chicken, hit a wire fence and leapt over a brush pile to escape. Later a hairy face appeared in the living-room window, a storage building and freezer were found entered, and responding deputies found nothing.

A group of youths watching cattle from a hill saw the herd become anxious and flee a corner of the field. They went to the fencerow to investigate and found reddish hair on barbed wire and a small pine twisted and knocked over high up. After hearing movement, two of them saw a face with gray-white eyes and reddish hair about seven feet up near the broken tree and watched it for about two minutes before fleeing.

A family living in a rural wood-frame home reported repeated nighttime visits over several years by two large hair-covered bipeds, one larger and one smaller. The creatures were said to peer in windows, mimic an infant's sounds, produce a strong septic odor, throw heavy tanks, damage a vehicle, and leave hair on the house. Livestock on surrounding farms were found dead with intestines removed. After the father fired through a wall at one creature, only the smaller one was reportedly seen, and activity lessened after relatives guarded the house and a protective ritual was performed.
