On-going activity experienced by a family east of St. Louis
The witness and a relative were wood-knocking in the backyard at night. After the witness knocked five times, they heard a high-pitched chatter from one direction and a grumbling sound from another direction for about a minute. Additional knocking produced no further response that evening.

Memory told of a sighting on a farm near Nashville
Early one spring morning the witness was looking out a window toward the barn behind the house after her spouse left for work. She saw a tall, shiny-black, muscular, hair-covered figure emerge from tall weeds on a hill and walk behind the barn. The figure briefly waved a hand toward her, which she took as a signal not to watch, and she looked away. She did not discuss the sighting for years and reports no further sightings.
