The witness, then a child, was riding at night in the rain with his mother looking for deer when a fallen tree blocked the narrow road. When the headlights swung toward the stump, they saw a tall pale ape-like figure standing beside it staring at them for several seconds. The mother reversed the car and drove away quickly.

As children playing in the yard near dusk, the witness and a relative noticed a figure moving along the woodline across the road. The figure was described as walking stooped over and pushing vegetation aside with its hands, then stopping to look at them after being shouted at. He heard loud bipedal footsteps approaching, then saw a white-haired gorilla-like creature about 20-25 feet away. The witness was bowhunting from a tree stand when a creature walked past about 75 yards away. He noticed the distinctive swinging motion of its arms and hands as it moved. At the time he was unfamiliar with Bigfoot and described what he saw to his hunting partner as a swish bear.

Late at night two companions were watching TV in a mobile home when they heard a noise at the front. The witness looked through the door window and described a large face peering in that then screamed and pushed away. Both went out the back and watched the figure step over a barbed-wire fence and run away hunched over with very long arms. A next-day search found no tracks, but they measured the door window at seven and a half feet above the ground.

In the summer of 1970 the witness was walking with a pony and dog in thick woods behind the family home when a large dark hairy biped was seen on a hill beyond a fence about 50 feet away. The witness fled in fright while the animals showed no reaction. The figure was never seen again.

The witness was driving a spray rig along an orchard boundary and scanning a neighboring field when a tall dark figure was seen walking about 100-150 yards away. The witness stopped the vehicle and watched from the hood as the figure moved with a smooth human-like stride into a walnut grove and did not reappear. A few days later the witness estimated the figure's height from a comparison tree and found no footprints on the hard soil.
