The witness was driving in the evening when headlights illuminated a large fur-covered bipedal figure standing beside a tree near the road shoulder. Only part of the figure was visible, but large reflecting eyes were seen during a brief few-second view. The driver called a relative immediately, and when they revisited the site with a dog a short time later, the dog whimpered and would not approach the area.

They drove away over the bridge while the figure pursued briefly before breaking off at the hardtop road and returning to the forest.
