Afternoon sighting by dog walker in Whitehall
The witness was walking a dog in daylight near woods when a dark brown creature stood up from behind a tractor-trailer. The witness left quickly while glancing back as the creature walked smoothly toward the forest with a fluid, unhurried movement. The creature was described as over six feet tall and slender with a cone-shaped head, no neck, broad shoulders, long arms and hairy hands and legs, with no odor or sound noticed. Footprints and a bedding area were reportedly found nearby in the following days.
On-going activity experienced by a family east of St. Louis
The witness and a relative were wood-knocking in the backyard at night. After the witness knocked five times, they heard a high-pitched chatter from one direction and a grumbling sound from another direction for about a minute. Additional knocking produced no further response that evening.
Hikers find footprints and see 10 foot tall creature outside home
The witness and a companion found very large footprints and broken branches while hiking and felt watched and followed back to the companion's house. The next morning the witness, sleeping on a couch by large front windows, saw a very tall brown human-like hairy creature in the clearing outside. After watching for several minutes, the creature approached, climbed a bank, and struck the house wall hard enough to wake the companion.
