The witness was driving in the evening when headlights illuminated a large fur-covered bipedal figure standing beside a tree near the road shoulder. Only part of the figure was visible, but large reflecting eyes were seen during a brief few-second view. The driver called a relative immediately, and when they revisited the site with a dog a short time later, the dog whimpered and would not approach the area.

The witness was driving home from work in the afternoon when traffic slowed. The witness noticed a tall, hairy, blonde to light-brown figure walking on two feet from the road into mixed woods. The witness was walking a dog in daylight near woods when a dark brown creature stood up from behind a tractor-trailer. The witness left quickly while glancing back as the creature walked smoothly toward the forest with a fluid, unhurried movement. The creature was described as over six feet tall and slender with a cone-shaped head, no neck, broad shoulders, long arms and hairy hands and legs, with no odor or sound noticed. Footprints and a bedding area were reportedly found nearby in the following days.

The witness and a relative were wood-knocking in the backyard at night. After the witness knocked five times, they heard a high-pitched chatter from one direction and a grumbling sound from another direction for about a minute. Additional knocking produced no further response that evening.

When the high beams came back on, a tall thin blonde-haired creature was seen crossing a clearing and the road ahead without looking toward the truck. It covered the width in two strides with a steady walking gait and continued into woods on the other side.

The witness was hunting on a relative's timber land and walking back to a truck on a trail when a noise was heard by a dried riverbed. The witness looked through a gun scope and saw a large black hair-covered creature 30 to 40 yards away running away through dense brush like a person with arms raised. After it went out of sight the witness sprinted back to the truck and left.

Around 9:30 p.m. on a rainy night the witness heard miniature horses making noise in the yard and turned on a porch floodlight to look. From about 40 to 50 feet away in pines the witness saw a tall upright figure that looked toward the porch. The figure then turned and walked behind an outbuilding out of the light during a brief 2- to 3-second view.

Early on February 18, 2003, the witness was driving east on Interstate 10 when lights from a passing tractor-trailer revealed a figure stepping onto the highway. He slowed, turned on high beams, and watched a tall reddish-haired non-human creature trot across both lanes and the shoulder in a few steps. The observation lasted up to about 30 seconds from about sixty to seventy yards away.

From the bank the witness saw a large hair-covered biped in dense woods that moved away very quickly. The companion remained in the creek bed and did not see it, and both left the area along the creek as light faded.

The witness and a companion were driving west at night when a large hairy figure came up from a river bottom and crossed the highway in their headlights. They watched it for an extended time as it walked across the wide road, swinging its arms and glancing toward their vehicle, then left the shoulder down a small embankment. Both occupants waited until after passing it to discuss what they had seen.

The witness was driving south on Highway 219 out of Hillsboro at night with high beams on while scanning for wildlife. The headlights illuminated a tall, upright, shaggy animal standing motionless in a field a short distance from the road. The witness estimated it at about 8 feet tall, noted it faced the lights without reflective eyes, and passed it in seconds at 55 mph. On driving by again about an hour later, the animal was gone.

Early one spring morning the witness was looking out a window toward the barn behind the house after her spouse left for work. She saw a tall, shiny-black, muscular, hair-covered figure emerge from tall weeds on a hill and walk behind the barn. The figure briefly waved a hand toward her, which she took as a signal not to watch, and she looked away. She did not discuss the sighting for years and reports no further sightings.

The witness and companions were camping on a hilltop overlooking a valley and creek. Late at night the witness heard heavy bipedal steps climb a steep slope, stop, then run into the forest, sounds the companions also heard. About two hours later the group heard a single very loud scream that briefly silenced forest sounds. Around 2 or 3 AM a companion awoke to see a large arm reaching through the van window for food, and food was found missing and spilled, with gouges seen on the slope the next morning.

The witness was riding horseback with a companion and a dog along a game trail when she noticed a dark figure foraging about 120 yards away. The figure stood upright and sprinted up a steep ridge on two legs while swinging its arms, and the dog chased it out of sight. The witness rode another trail to higher ground but could not follow through the timber, and the dog returned later tired. The companion did not see the creature.
