Dusk sighting by hikers in general vicinity of Tamarack Ski Resort
Two hikers about one half to one mile from camp saw an upright figure watching them from behind a large tree about thirty yards away. The figure swayed briefly then ran away on two legs and disappeared into darkness after about 200 feet. The witnesses described it as tall, stocky and shaggy dark brown with long heavy arms and reddish glowing eyes.

Memory of a moonlight sighting as a Boy Scout at Payette Lake near McCall
The witness and a companion were walking back to their campsite at night when they stopped on a small bridge over a stream. They watched a fur-covered figure crouched at the water's edge drinking with its hand. The figure stood to at least eight feet, stared at them without blinking for a minute or two, then resumed drinking as the two left in fear.
