The witness was driving on a two-lane highway through dense woods in east Texas after midnight with high beams on. A tall hairy figure stepped from the woods toward the road, turned to face the car, then stepped back into the woods while still looking toward the car. The witness got a close, well-lit view of its face and body before it disappeared into the dark woods.

Sighting by a man on horseback of two large creatures near Gladewater
The witness was riding a horse home late on a dirt road after losing track of time. The horse became agitated while crossing a plank bridge. The witness then saw two large erect creatures side by side about 35 yards away in a meadow opening, swaying as if scenting. The witness galloped home and looked back to see the pair walking erect into the woods.
