Two campers report seeing tall creature at Rood Park campground and boat landing by the Chattahoochee River, just south of Florence Marina

On the night of August 30 the witness was camping when his dog wandered from the campsite making strange noises and a figure taller than the witness with a visible silhouette and eyes kept moving toward him, reportedly walking upright. The frightened witness fled to a nearby convenience store and called 911 at 10:54 pm. No formal police report was filed because the witness would not return to the campsite with an officer.
