A witness preparing breakfast saw movement outside the kitchen window and watched a tall, slim, dark bipedal figure about 50 ft away walk from trees toward a wooded area. A young relative watching from a sliding glass door also saw the figure and called out. The figure then left their line of sight.

The witness was driving east on Hwy 72 toward Arcadia at night when she first noticed what she thought was a deer to the right of the road. A large bipedal figure then ran across the road in front of her car, forcing her to brake hard, and disappeared into scrub on the far side. She stopped past the crossing point, got out of the car, heard nothing but smelled a musky odor, and called her children.

Two brothers were fishing from a john boat when they noticed a tall, reddish-brown hairy figure at the edge of the palmettos crouched and drinking water from its hands. The figure stared at them without making any sound and then left quietly. The witnesses reported a musky odor, fled to shore, and never returned to the pond.

Three children were playing in a densely wooded area when they heard a loud crack like a stepped-on stick. They saw a tall hairy man-like figure watching them from near old vehicles and a ditch. The figure moved into full view, grabbed a tree branch and leaned forward to look at them, after which all three fled and did not return.
