Close encounter experienced while waiting for the school bus near Marion
The witness and his sister were waiting at a rarely used roadside bus stop before sunrise when they smelled a foul odor and heard low grunting that grew louder and more aggressive. A large dark-brown figure then knocked over a small dead tree across the road and ran toward them. Both fled a short distance to their house, with the figure closing to within a few feet before continuing into the woods.

On May 21, 1999 the witness and a friend were hunting armadillos in woods near St. Cloud, Florida when they saw a large hairy biped. The creature walked slowly with low arms and a hunched back, turned to stare at them for about four seconds, then continued walking until out of sight. The two ran back to their group to report the sighting, which most of the group did not believe.

The six prints spanned about 30 feet and appeared to cross the road, pass over a 4.5-foot gate, and continue toward a treeline and gully. The witness was hunting from a tree stand when a tall bipedal creature moved past quickly. The witness reported a strong zoo-like odor and described the animal as hunched with a coned head, wide shoulders, and black hair. Footprints were found in the area.

Two companions were resting by their vehicles while deer hunting in the early afternoon when two bipedal creatures were seen crossing a road from west to east about two-tenths of a mile away toward pines and a swamp. The lead individual was described as a 6.5-foot light-brown male walking hunched, followed about 15 yards behind by a 5.5-foot black female with breasts who appeared to be holding something at her waist. Both were said to walk without locking their knees.
