Motorists describe a nighttime sighting near the Manistee National Forest

Two occupants of a car driving on a curvy wooded road around midnight encountered a furry figure crouched in the roadway. After illuminating it with high beams from close range, they watched it stand on two legs and run quickly up a hill. They described it as huge, dark, about seven feet tall with long arms, moving like an ape, and said it could not have been a bear.
