While driving to a job in the early morning, the witness and a companion stopped for deer crossing the road. A large hairy figure came to the edge of the pavement, paused briefly, then turned and went back into the woods. Both occupants viewed it from a short distance and discussed matching descriptions on the way to the job.

The witness claims they stopped while biking in woods to wait for companions when a branch snapped about 40 feet away. A tall hair-covered human-proportioned figure stared silently at them, stooped its head to peer, then raised an arm for balance and stepped into the woods out of sight. The witness says they froze, briefly glanced toward companions, then looked back to find the figure still there before it left.
