A driver rounding an uphill hairpin turn noticed a tall hairy human-like figure standing behind trees on the hillside above the road. The figure turned and ran uphill through steep brush with remarkable speed and disappeared within seconds. The driver called a relative, returned to the site, spoke with officers there, and later documented the area on video.

Some members started toward it before it vanished in the fog, and the witness reported feeling unable to advance beyond a point. An odor was noted in connection with the sighting.
