Motorist has sighting along road near town of Palmyra

The witness was driving alone on a deserted hilly road shortly before midnight when he saw a brown hairy animal on all fours that he first took for a large deer. When he closed to about a hundred yards, the animal stood on two feet and ran silently into the woods. He noticed roadkill in the road and a foul smell that he said might have come from the roadkill, then drove away quickly.
