The witness and the witness's son were bow fishing in a marsh area in late morning when something dropped from a tree nearby with rustling and a heavy thud. A large dark-furred animal crouched and then fled rapidly through brush and up a slope over railroad tracks while the dog chased briefly. They saw it from behind running upright but hunched, described as bear-sized and gorilla-like, then left after hearing crunching behind them.

The witness and a companion were driving on back roads when they noticed a dark hairy figure by the roadside. After the witness honked, the figure stood up, looked at them, then walked bipedally north into the woods. The witness was squirrel hunting in a small farm woodlot on a sunny mid-morning when noisy birds in the underbrush drew attention. At a bend in a lane the witness saw a tall reddish-brown hairy biped standing off the trail about 25 yards away and they stared at each other without moving. After a standoff the creature raked berries from a shrub and ate them while glancing between the shrub and the witness. The witness slowly backed away out of sight, then walked fast and ran from the woodlot.
