Two witnesses see a large orangutan-type animal sitting in the road

The witness was driving a companion's low truck at night near the Denali Park tourist area when the headlights lit a hairy figure sitting on the center line with knees drawn up and head lowered. The witness passed very close to it at road level and compared it to an orangutan, noting no known Alaska animal matched. Both occupants stayed silent until reaching Healy, where they confirmed to each other that both had seen it.
