Large, unusual footprints observed in deep snow near Bass Lake
After heavy overnight snow, the witness became stuck while driving down a two-track road toward home and continued on foot. While walking, the witness noticed a line of very large footprints in the snow extending about 100-150 feet before veering into a swamp. The prints were described as much larger than human tracks with a long stride and undisturbed snow around them. No maker of the tracks was seen.
Nighttime sighting on CR550 outside Marquette
After finishing a night shift, the witness was driving home along a forested road near a bog and lake. A large fur-covered animal with long arms crossed the road quickly on two legs, stepped onto the guardrail, and leapt down the other side toward the lake. The witness did not stop, stating it was neither a person nor a bear.
Bikers have daylight sighting near Marquette
The witness was riding motorcycles with three companions on an old highway when a fur-covered bipedal creature was seen crouched near the road. The creature stood upright, stared at the witness, then climbed an embankment and ran through the trees with speed, leaping over a fallen tree. The witness shouted for companions to look as they pulled up on their motorcycles.
Horseback rider has close range sighting in jackpine forest
About a decade before reporting, the witness was riding a horse alone on a dirt road near dusk when the horse stopped and stared into the woods. The witness then saw a tall white upright creature approach quickly and turn sideways before disappearing silently behind small pines. The witness did not enter the woods to investigate and left the scene quickly.
Daylight sighting by hunters near Gwinn (Upper Peninsula)
Two occupants driving slowly west on a rural road in daylight noticed a tall hairy human-like figure emerge from roadside trees. The figure crossed the road in one or two strides and entered the forest on the opposite side where it was lost from view. The driver braked but continued past the crossing point without stopping, so no tracks or other sign were recovered.
