Man recalls early morning sighting while squirrel hunting near Salyersville

The witness was sitting quietly while squirrel hunting in Magoffin County in late September 1972 when he saw a large reddish-brown creature about 70 yards away. The creature walked away on two legs from right to left, pausing briefly to look around before continuing out of sight, apparently unaware of the witness. Afterward the witness found several large human-shaped footprints where the creature had walked.
