Bus driver encounters ape like creature during an unscheduled stop

The witness was six years old and riding in the back of a bus at night with family. After the driver reboarded saying a big ape had almost gotten him, the bus started moving and the witness and a relative watched a large ape-like figure cross the highway behind the bus and enter the woods on the other side. Other passengers including parents also saw the start of the crossing.
