Late in the evening the witness was in a vehicle on a dead-end road watching for animals with headlights on. A tall hair-covered bipedal figure emerged from the right side and crossed the road in two strides into dense timber. The witness sat in disbelief, then left to get help and returned to search for tracks, but none were found.

The witness was driving east on Highway 12 at night with relatives when headlights illuminated a fur-covered biped on the roadside. The witness ducked behind the door and the figure was gone when they looked again. Moments later the mother called to say she and her friend had seen a large hairy animal cross the road ahead of their car and step over a metal gate.

The reporter states that in the late 1970s her father was driving a school bus early in the morning when a large hair-covered man- and ape-like creature came down a deer path. He braked and watched it run across the road and continue down the path on the other side for about a minute. An investigator later spoke with the father by phone and recorded additional descriptive details.

The witness and a friend were sitting on a truck tailgate at night when they heard a disturbance in a crab apple tree. They approached and watched a large pale bipedal animal leave the tree and cross the highway with a swishing foot sound before disappearing. They searched with family that night without result, but the next day found scuffed tracks, broken branches, and fallen apples.
