The witness was riding as a passenger in a car at night when the headlights illuminated a hair-covered biped on the roadside. The creature stood briefly facing the car, then ran across the road at unusual speed. A companion in the car said he saw something cross but thought it might have been a deer.

Three teenagers stopped at night on a dirt road near a one-lane bridge to relieve themselves. They heard repeated grunting and growling from an oak tree with a thrashing limb, then watched a large hairy biped drop into a ditch and run through the car's high-beam illumination. It leapt off the bridge bank out of sight while its footsteps were heard continuing south, after which the group fled in the car.
