Late night road crossing sighting near Potlatch on Hwy 95 spooks woman
Late at night in February 2011 the witness was driving on Highway 95 between Potlatch and Tensed when a very large dark bipedal form crossed the road in front of the car. The witness stopped in the empty highway but the figure vanished from the lit pasture and ditch without being seen again. The witness fled home in dread and later interpreted the figure as possibly Sasquatch-related.
Long-duration daylight sighting (distant) on Moscow Mountain
Two companions resting on a high rock overlook watched a large dark biped and a smaller blonde biped moving below in a clear-cut and on a fire road. Over about 20 minutes the figures foraged, interacted closely, and walked erect toward and past the observers before disappearing behind trees. Later the same day the witnesses returned to the spot and reported crushed grass, long stride impressions, and large and small bare footprints.

The witness was driving with companions toward Potlatch when a large dark figure appeared by the road. The figure crossed the highway in three long steps, swinging its long arms, then crossed a ditch and disappeared into the pine forest. The witnesses looked but did not see it again in the woods.
Boy has a close encounter with a small sasquatch on Moscow Mountain
In summer 1963 an 8-year-old child accompanied his father to a cedar-clearing work site on Moscow Mountain. After the father felled a large cedar snag, the child climbed onto the downed trunk when a small, muscular, dark-furred being jumped onto the log face-to-face with him. The child screamed and the being ran away on two legs toward the top of the tree and disappeared into brush. Both had felt watched just before felling, but no animal had been seen in the standing tree.
