Creature seen walking away at a fast pace.
The witness claimed to see a tall brownish figure about 100 yards away in a clearing while returning to a hunting camp. The figure was moving away quickly while looking back over its shoulder, with long arms swinging. The witness did not go back that night and a next-morning search with camp companions found no tracks because the ground was rocky.

Daytime sighting by two hikers, near Lost Creek in Lassen National Forest
Two companions hiking back toward camp in the early evening saw a large upright figure walking away from them on a fire road about 200 yards ahead. They watched for about a minute as it paused, moved to the side of the road, then continued quickly and disappeared around a bend or into the forest. They estimated it was over six feet tall and heavy, appearing naked or covered in brown fur.
