Morning daylight sighting around rural homes near Kent

On Christmas morning in 1986 the witness went to the rear entrance of a relative's house to retrieve a forgotten item while the rest of the family waited to leave. Hearing loud crashing approaching through the rear forest, the witness turned to see a tall bulky upright creature with dark hair standing just inside the treeline about 30 metres away. After a brief exchange of looks the witness fled around to the front and joined the family in the car without telling them what had been seen.
