After other family members left the cabin for the evening, a father and his adult son stayed to clean the cabin exterior when stones began landing around them. They retreated inside as stones continued to strike the cabin on multiple sides. The father then saw a large dark figure run bipedally across the driveway, and impacts on the cabin walls continued late into the night.
Nighttime sighting remembered while driving southeast of Kalkaska
While driving home from Kalkaska after dark, the occupants of a vehicle noticed eye-shine in the headlights beside the road. The headlights revealed a small, very light-colored Bigfoot-like figure that had been sitting with its leg crossed on a log in a small clearing near a cedar swamp. Startled by the light, it stood up and walked casually into the woods and disappeared.
Man recalls encounter he had as a teenager near Kalkaska
While camping with relatives and neighbors, the witness drove west toward a highway early the next morning to buy supplies, accompanied by an adult. About 10 miles from camp, he saw a large reddish animal emerge from the forest, stand upright at the road edge, and cross the road in two steps before disappearing into dense woods. The adult companion was asleep and did not see it. The witness later described the encounter to a store worker, who said similar reports of a large unknown animal had been heard in the area.
