The witness routinely checks dog kennels from a bathroom window at night without turning on lights. At about 3 a.m. the witness saw a tall hair-covered biped standing beyond the pens, which walked a short distance, stopped, then left into surrounding woods. The witness woke a relative who also saw the animal though less clearly, while the kennel dogs remained silent in their houses.

The witness was driving east toward Marshall at dusk when movement on the roadside caught attention. A very tall dark figure stepped onto the highway and crossed it in three strides before disappearing into brush. The witness stopped past the crossing, found a wide water trail across the road and noticed a strong dead-animal odor while feeling watched, then left.

The witness was deer hunting from a stand in the morning and observed an ape-like figure 150 to 300 yards away through a riflescope. The figure was outside a brush line where apples had been placed for deer and was watched for about two minutes. It was described as 7 feet tall, upright but stooped, and dark brown, holding a deer hindquarter in its left hand.

The witness was deer hunting alone from an elevated stand before dawn under a full moon. A large bipedal figure emerged from dense woods and walked along a pipeline clearing toward his position, then turned to face him after hearing his rifle safety click, walked backward briefly, spun around and reentered the woods. A larger tree nearby then shook violently, and after sunrise the witness and his companion found worn trails and a footprint but no clear tracks.

The witness was concealed while deer hunting at the water's edge when he noticed movement to the side. He watched a large hair-covered biped rise from a crouch in shallow water, look side to side, then walk out of the water into the woods and disappear over about two minutes from about 50 yards away. On the return to the truck he found a single very large footprint in loose soil.

A family of four stopped on private land to let the children play and to do target shooting in a deep ravine. A large grayish hair-covered animal lunged into the ravine close in front of the adults, paused to look at them, then leaped out and ran toward the parked car area. The family retreated to the car with the children and saw the animal stop at the brush line in front of the car.
