Meteor watchers see large two-legged dark creature approach vehicle near Springfield

The witness and a companion drove to a hilltop late at night to watch a meteor shower. They heard repeated deep growls and saw the silhouette of a large man-like figure with a cone-shaped head and very wide shoulders walking silently up the road toward them. They fled by car, and a daytime revisit found no tracks.
