The witness and a companion drove to a hilltop late at night to watch a meteor shower. They heard repeated deep growls and saw the silhouette of a large man-like figure with a cone-shaped head and very wide shoulders walking silently up the road toward them. They fled by car, and a daytime revisit found no tracks.

The witness and a companion were sitting in a truck behind a school gymnasium late at night when they felt watched. The witness then noticed a very tall dark figure standing by a tall chain-link fence about 30 yards away. After watching it for about 10 minutes, they saw it turn, walk toward a treeline, look back, and disappear. A daylight return the next day found no evidence.

The witness was sitting on back porch steps late at night waiting for her boyfriend when she saw a large upright figure cross the road about 150 feet away near a streetlight. The figure continued across and disappeared behind tall shrubs along a neighbor's driveway. Neighbor's penned hunting dogs then began barking intensely, and the witness went inside; her mother and boyfriend heard the dogs but did not see the figure.

A group playing in the woods outside Jefferson heard strange noises and went to investigate, thinking it was other members of their group. They saw a large hairy creature moving away rapidly that could run upright and did not have the shape of a bear. The group ran home at that moment and never encountered anything similar again.
Young horse rider has daytime sighting near Ash Grove
The witness, then ten, was riding a horse to collect cows for evening milking when the horse refused to advance, stamping and snorting. A large dark humanoid stood up from behind a small cedar tree about 60 to 70 yards away, walked several upright strides, and hopped the back fence. The horse then bolted back to the barn, and a later search with relatives found nothing.
Teenager has face-to-face encounter with tall, hairy, man-like creature
After sneaking into a community pool at night, the witness ran into adjoining woods to avoid the caretaker and collided with something. He looked up and saw a manlike figure about eight feet tall covered head to foot in long hair with a strong smell. He ran back toward his friends warning them not to go that way, and none of them went to check the spot.
