The witness was driving alone at night on a wooded highway. After noticing what looked like a tree beside the road, the witness saw it turn and take a few steps into the woods, describing it as huge with long matted hair. The sighting lasted only a few seconds, and the witness then drove away quickly.

In the early 1960s on a sunny afternoon, four siblings playing behind their house noticed a very large hair-covered animal under the house in the unfinished basement. The children approached it, threw small rocks, and formed the impression its human-like face was smiling with its mouth closed, while it stayed calm. Frightened, they ran inside for their mother, and when they returned the animal was gone without a trace.
