Late day and early morning sightings near the Wind River Mountain Range
Two women driving on a dirt road near trees and a rodeo grounds at night encountered a large hairy creature in front of their car lights. The creature was walking on the road where they could not go around it or turn around, then stopped and turned to face them directly. The witnesses were described as being very frightened.
Twenty-two inch tracks found
The witness reports discovering four large, bare human-like footprints with five toes that followed a deer path down a hill and crossed a dirt road. The tracks in soft ground sank 2 to 3 inches, while those on the hard road left only dirt in foot shape. The witness measured the tracks at 22 inches long with an eight-foot spacing and tried to follow them but was stopped by rocks.
Co-workers stunned by giant hairy "man-thing" walking down town street
The witness and a co-worker were closing a shop in the early morning when the co-worker called the witness to the front. They watched a very large, reddish-brown, hair-covered figure walk down the street under a streetlight, cross the road, and disappear past a car wash and storage units. When the witness shouted, the figure turned its head to look but kept walking without stopping.
Back seat passsenger in car has observation between Florence and Canyon City
While riding in the back seat during a family drive through Phantom Canyon, the witness saw a large dark furry biped among cows beside the road. The creature, seen from behind, walked briskly with wide arm swings and long steps toward a treed rocky area. The driver turned back to look again minutes later, but the figure was gone.
